Bolton Job Clubs 


Digital Skills Job Club

Where: Bolton Central Library, Le Mans Crescent BL1 1SE

Join us at Bolton Central Library every Thursday between 10am and 12pm to access basic digital job-seeking support and get equipped with the essential digital skills needed to navigate today's employment landscape with confidence.

To support you on your job-hunting journey, we offer guidance with:

  • Searching and applying for jobs online
  • Updating and uploading your CV
  • Filling out online job application forms
  • Finding training and learning opportunities to boost your skillset

Bolton College Job Shop

Where: Bolton College, Deane Road Campus

Located in the College’s Student Experience Zone, the Job Shop will give its learners opportunities to connect with leading employers, whilst the businesses in turn gain exclusive access to fresh talent from their own sectors.

The Job Shop’s services are also available to the public, offering a course matching service that will allow them to upskill, find work or advance in their careers.
 

CAP (Christians Against Poverty) Job Club

We run our job club as an 8-week course, looking at such aspects as Finding Motivation, Overcoming Obstacles, Discovering Strengths and Getting to Know Employers along with the usual CV and application form support, Interview support and getting ready for work. 

We run 3 of these courses per year the first starting in September, then January and another just after Easter.  We also give 1-1 support for CV writing and helping with job applications, this is given in addition to the course sessions and is by appointment only.
 

Bolton UCAN Centres and Working Wardrobe

We offer support with application forms, online job searching, CVs, IT training, one-to-one guidance and debt and money advice.

Working Wardrobe has been set up to tackle another barrier into employment that so many people face today. That barrier is the lack of suitable clothing to wear in order to make a good first impression at the interview.

The Workshop Bolton Council

Bolton council's workshop provides free support to help local residents find sustainable, long term employment. We also offer help and support with skills, qualifications, and work experience. We are a highly motivated team who will work hard to help you achieve your goals.

A range of free online training is available to help with your confidence, employability skills, health and wellbeing.  Work placements are available in a number of companies across Bolton, depending on what sector you want to work in.
